Your Aspirations Wealth adviser is your first line of defence. We recommend only thoroughly vetted investments and structures aligned with your goals, and are not paid by product issuers, unlike those involved in the scandals.
Investment Committee
Oversight is maintained through an investment committee, which includes representatives from Aspirations Wealth and experts from an asset consultant which is Evidentia. The investment committee is ultimately responsible for all investment decisions, based on the research, analysis, and recommendations put forwards by the asset consultant.
Asset Consultant
Another critical safeguard is the role of the asset consultant, Evidentia. They research and recommend fund managers to include in the managed account portfolios to the investment committee. Evidentia applies a rigorous process to every manager, combining qualitative reviews of people, culture, governance, and business alignment — including face-to-face meetings — with quantitative analysis of performance, risk, fees, and exposures.
If there is any doubt about a manager’s structure, governance, transparency, or ability to deliver, the fund is not recommended.
Evidentia has one of the largest and most experienced investment teams in the market, supported by specialists across research, portfolio management, and risk. This depth of expertise ensures that recommendations to the investment committee are evidence-based, and always focused on protecting client outcomes.
Platform & Responsible Entity
Your investments are held on a wrap platform like HUB24 or Colonial First State, which acts as an online hub for your holdings, and overseen by a responsible entity — an organisation with its own regulatory obligations to ensure the managed account operates within the rules. Together they provide an important layer of oversight by conducting checks to keep everything compliant and properly managed. This means your investments are continually monitored under separate regulatory frameworks.
Continuous Monitoring
The protection doesn’t stop once money is invested. The investment committee, Evidentia’s investment team, the platform, and the responsible entity all keep monitoring the managers. If a fund or manager fails to meet standards, it can be removed or replaced.
